“The Main Characters of Christmas-The Baby Jesus”

Scripture Reading: Luke 2:1-7

Introduction: It is a fact, so many people still see Jesus as the innocent baby in the manger scene!.

     I.  The sense of humility.

            - To be humble means to be teachable.

            - Being satisfied with the present.

     II.  The scene of innocence.

            - Why did Jesus need to be born?

            - The depressing presence of guilt!

   III.  A scene of trust.

            - Have we lost the sense of wonder?

            - Have we embraced in its place a cold sophistication?

     III.  A sense of the present.

            - What has happen to Christmas?

            - Where are we today?.

 

                Christmas celebrates the conviction that God himself

                      became a child that first Christmas.
