“The Main Characters of Christmas-Mary”

Text: Luke 1:31

Scripture Reading: Luke 1:26-31

Introduction: We do not worship Mary; we revere her memory and honor her as the human mother of our Lord.

      I.   The Biblical account of Mary.

               - Mary was a modest and pure young woman in

                 Galilee.

               - Mary had a mysterious encounter with the angel

                 Gabriel.

      II.   Mary as symbolic of pure and chaste womanhood

               - She believed in the Bible.

               - She laid her life on the altar.

      III.   Mary in history. 

               - We must not distort the purpose of Mary’s role.

               - She was faithful to fulfill her purpose .

 

        There is but one mediator between God and man,

                He is Jesus Christ the Lord!
