“The Christian Church and the Resurrection Continues”
Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1-22

Introduction: Paul and various other New Testament writers carefully record the account of Jesus’ resurrection day.
“He rose again the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:4). That third day made a difference for all of humankind for all of eternity.
I. A historical reality.
- Paul speculated on the possibility that Christ did not rise: “If Christ be not risen.”
- If Christ had not risen.
- Jesus’ resurrection on the third day makes a difference!
II. A theological necessity.
- Full assurance of salvation.
- The guarantee to the world that salvation is complete.
- A testimony to Lordship.
III. An eschatological certainty.
- Without Jesus there is no hope for a future life.
- “Death is Dead”
- Jesus rose from the dead, he defeated death.
