“The Christian Church and the Christian Home”

Text: Psalm 127:1

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 5:22-6:4

Introduction: The psalmist realized the absolute necessity for spiritual influence in every area of life.

     I.     More than an influence.

             - We cannot have the fruits of Christianity without also having it’s roots!

             - Being Christian.

             - The word “Christian” must be a noun before it

                becomes an adjective.

     II.     Every member should be born again.

             - “You must be born again”

             - What about the children?

             - Pray for our children!

     III.     Every member should practice his or her faith.

             - Ephesians 5:29

             - Ephesians 6:1

             - Practice our faith!

 

Charles Spurgeon once said: “When the home is ruled by Jesus Christ and the principles of God’s Word, angels might visit and not find themselves out of their habitation.”
