(Mother’s Day-A Mother Who Prayed)

Text: 1 Samuel 1:10: 10-11

Introduction: No greater calamity could befall a nation than for

God-honoring motherhood to vanish.

  I.   Hannah prayed.

         -

  II.   Hannah prayed with persistence.

         - Too often our requests of God are shallow and lacking in deep fervor.

  III.  Hannah prayed through persistence.

  IV.   Hannah prayed with a pledge.

         -

  v.   Hannah performed that which she promised.

         - Samuel means “Asked of God” sounds like “heard by God”

         -

What do we learn: We should never despair when we are discouraged!

 

The continuous prayer of a God-honoring person will not go unheeded! Our prayers must be such that if they are answered, God’s kingdom will be advanced!
