“The Holy Spirit in this Present Hour”

Introduction: The world today is again in desperate need of a spiritual awakening. It is the only hope for the survival of the human race.

I. The Holy Spirit and the Bible!

II. Sins against the Holy Spirit!

- Blaspheming the Holy Spirit

- Grieving the Spirit

- Quenching the Spirit

III. The Need for Spiritual Revival!

IV. The Effects of an Awakening!

-There will be a new vision of the majesty of God.

-There will be a new vision of the sinfulness of sin.

-There will be an emphasis on the necessity of repentance.

-There will be the joy of salvation.

-There will be a new realization of our responsibility for; local, state, national and world evangelization.

-There will be a deep social concern

-There will be increased evidence of both the gifts and fruit of Spirit.

-There will be renewed dependence upon the Holy Spirit.

V. The Holy Spirit Leads us to:

Admit spiritual poverty; confession and repentance; renewed commitment
