“God’s Command to Repent”

Text: Mark 1:15; Acts 17:30

Scripture Reading:  Mark 1:1-8, 14-15

Introduction:  The attitude in which we receive an invitation, a request, or a command often determines our personal response!

      I.     All people need to repent because Christ invites them to repent (Mark 1:15).

II. All people need to repent because of the goodness of God (Romans 2:4).

- The evil one has sought to misrepresent the character and purpose of God.

- The goodness of God that leads people to repentance.

III. All people need to repent because of their need for forgiveness of sin.

IV. All people need to repent because of other’s needs.

V. All people need to repent because of God’s will (2 Peter 3:9).

Just as no one can eat or sleep for us, no one can repent or change our basic attitude toward God, except that each person changes their mind about the forgiveness of God!
